Michael Moore: Sanders Would Have ‘Absolutely’ Won, Dems Should Start Running ‘People Who Are Inspiring’

On Thursday’s “CNN Tonight,” filmmaker Michael Moore stated that Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) would have “absolutely” won the general election if he had been the Democratic Party’s nominee.

Moore said that while “of course there’s misogyny, and there’s sexism,” “Democrats need to start running people who are inspiring. … Why don’t we run people who are beloved by the American people?”

When asked if he thought Sanders would have won the general election if he had won the nomination, Moore answered, “Well, absolutely, of course I believe that.”

He added that people should remember “the majority of our fellow Americans wanted her, not him. She is winning the popular vote. That’s who the American people agree with, Hillary Clinton, alright? Because of an archaic system that we have, he’s going to be the president-elect.”
