NAACP’s Barber: ‘Irrational’ to Say You Voted Trump for Change Because Obama’s Policies Are Good for All

During Saturday’s “AM Joy” on MSNBC, North Carolina NAACP President Rev. William Barber reacted to President-elect Donald Trump saying he would keep parts of Obamacare.

While discussing Obamacare, Barber said it is “irrational” for people to vote for Trump because they say they wanted change while Obamacare helps everyone.

“[I]t’s irrational for people say they voted for Trump for change when in reality the very policies that President Obama put in place actually helps whites, blacks and Latinos. What I believe is when you have fear rooted in racism, it’s irrational. And that’s why we cannot walk away from the racial side of this election,” he told host Joy Reid.
