During an interview broadcast on Monday’s edition of Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show,” President Obama reacted to reports that President-Elect Trump gets only one intelligence briefing a week that going without briefings is “flying blind.”
Obama said that if you don’t get intelligence briefings “then, you are flying blind.”
He added, “Part of what we have done is, to just hammer away at the basic principle that intelligence shall not be subject to political spin, and I’m very proud of the fact that, over the course of eight years, the message I’ve sent to every intelligence agency is, I want it straight, without spin, and I think we’ve developed a culture that does that.”
