Peter King Calls for Investigation of CIA Director’s ‘Hit Job’ Against Trump

Sunday on ABC’s “This Week,” while discussing CIA Director John Brennan leaked finding that the Russian hacking into the 2016 election was mean to help President-elect Donald Trump win, Rep. Peter King (R-NY) said there should be an investigation into  CIA Director John Brennan and “the hit job he seems to be orchestrating against the president-elect.”

King said, “We haven’t been shown that consensus. What we  have been told all along it was virtually definite that the Russians did hack the Democratic National Committee. I’m willing to accept that. I have no reason not to. But as far as John Podesta it was uncertain whether or not that could be directly traced to the Russians. I haven’t seen anything since then. That’s what infuriates me about this, Martha, is that we have John Brennan––supposedly John Brennan––leaking to The Washington Post, to a biased newspaper like The New York Times, findings and conclusions that he’s not telling the intelligence committee.”

He added, “There should be an investigation of what the Russians did but also an investigation of John Brennan and the hit job he seems to be orchestrating against the president-elect.”
