While discussing a potential Oprah Winfrey presidential candidacy in 2020 on Wednesday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “Hardball,” anchor Chris Matthews declared, “Right now, we have a president who has no empathy for regular people and their problems.”
Matthews said, “I think Oprah, not that she’s a serious candidate, because she doesn’t want to be probably, is empathy. Right now, we have a president who has no empathy, for regular people and their problems. He doesn’t connect with pain. He doesn’t feel the pain of the people he makes fun of. He has no empathy.”
