Oliver North: Trump Critics ‘Shocked’ to Have a President Like Reagan ‘Who Admires Those Who Serve in Uniform’

Friday on Fox News Channel’s “America’s Newsroom,” ret. U.S. Marine Lt. Col. Oliver North reacted to those criticizing President Donald Trump’s management of the military in the wake of a “mother of all bombs” strike on an ISIS stronghold in Afghanistan.

Host Shannon Bream asked North to respond to those questioning Trump’s reliance on military generals and that such a reliance might infringe on civilian control of the military.

“The folks saying that Shannon are not the ones who wear uniforms,” North replied. “The folks saying that kind of things is the same ones have been saying it since the 1960s — the college professors that led the riots, the kind of media that is so hostile to those who wear a uniform. They were in heaven when Barack Obama was president. They are suddenly shocked to have a president like Ronald Reagan who admires those who serve in uniform.
