NYT’s Peters: ‘The Sclerosis in the Democratic Party Is So Overwhelming and Crippling’

On Monday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” New York Times reporter and MSNBC contributor Jeremy Peters argued, “The sclerosis in the Democratic Party is so overwhelming and crippling,” that the party does not have a bench or leaders.

Peters said, “There is no leadership right — there is such a vacuum. The sclerosis in the Democratic Party is so overwhelming and crippling, that they do not have a bench. They do not have leaders who –.”

He later added that while there are some younger Democrats emerging in some states, “the generational change hasn’t quite caught up with the Democratic Party yet.”
