Monday on Fox Sports 1’s “Speak for Yourself,” co-host Jason Whitlock reacted to socialist Seattle city council member Kshama Sawant urging the Seahawks to sign Colin Kaepernick.

According to Whitlock, Kaepernick had no idea that his national anthem protest would get to the point where socialist politicians would use him for their own benefit

“[T]his is the first thing that made me go, ‘Damn, man, I feel sorry for [Kaepernick],'” Whitlock said. “He had no idea what he was stepping into and he had no idea it could go this far — that a councilwoman, who is a socialist, who admits, ‘Hey, I don’t know anything about football, but here is what the Seahawks should do.’

He continued, “The only thing worse [is] if Joe Stalin comes out of his grave, ‘Colin Kaepernick for quarterback of Russia! That’s the only thing that can be worse than this. People need to stop it. His supporters or his alleged supporters because they’re not supporters. She’s doing it for her own benefit. She’s not even trying to benefit Colin Kaepernick. She’s drawing the attention to herself.”
