On Monday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” New York Times Chief White House Correspondent Peter Baker stated former President Obama has “been sort of trolling President Trump by having his own sort of G-7 reunion tour.”
Baker began by saying, “Certainly, a lot of Republicans criticized President Obama for sort of being less engaged in some parts of the world, being more reluctant to project American influence, if not power.”
Baker added, “I don’t know if you’ve seen, he’s been sort of trolling President Trump by having his own sort of G-7 reunion tour. He’s been kind of going around having lunch and dinner with various leaders, Angela Merkel, David Cameron, Justin Trudeau, and it’s sort of like he’s kind of tweaking President Trump to say, hey, I’m still friends with these people even if you’re not.”
