Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) believes Houston Rockets star James Harden is worth his new record $228 million contract extension on one condition — he has to win a championship.
“I think Harden is one heck of a ballplayer, and I’m looking forward to seeing him and Chris Paul,” Cruz told TMZ Sports. “I hope we go all the way.”
The TMZ reporter asked Cruz if Harden is worth every bit of that contract, and he replied, “I sure hope so. If we get a ring it was.”
