On Monday’s broadcast of CNN’s “New Day,” DNC Deputy Chair Representative Keith Ellison (D-MN) stated that he believes President Trump’s judgment is off and argued that the censure resolution introduced by Representative Jerrold Nadler (D-NY) has merit.

Ellison responded to a tweet by Representative Jackie Speier (D-CA) about invoking the 25th Amendment by saying, “Well, let me tell you this. I know his judgment is absolutely off. Jerry Nadler and a few others have introduced a censure motion. I think that that has a lot of merit, but what am I doing?”

Ellison then talked about organizing and voter contact events before stating, “[W]e’ve got to change what happened at the ballot box. And the ballot box is going to be the one where we restore anybody who’s willing to say we have one America and is not slow or confused or doesn’t quite get it or thinks that he doesn’t want to alienate his base. We want to change the outcomes at the ballot box.”
