During CNN’s coverage of President Trump’s Phoenix speech, anchor Don Lemon stated that former President Ronald Reagan was in the early stages of Alzheimer’s disease during the final part of his presidency.

During a debate with radio host and CNN Political Commentator Ben Ferguson over reactions to the speech, where Ferguson objected to what he saw as journalists acting like doctors and trying to diagnose the president, Lemon asked Ferguson, “Do you think the media and people should have pretended that Ronald Reagan wasn’t in the early stages of Alzheimer’s in the last part of his presidency? Which is — which he was.”
