Scarborough: ‘You Have Hispanics in Puerto Rico’ and Trump ‘Sees Them As the Others’

On Thursday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” co-host Joe Scarborough stated that President Trump sees Puerto Rico as “the others,” because the island’s population is Hispanic.

Scarborough said, “[O]bviously, I think Mika asks a question that many people believe answers itself, that you have Hispanics in Puerto Rico. You have a group of people that Donald Trump has attacked from the beginning of the campaign and he sees them as the others, not his white supporters. These are people that do not look like the overwhelming majority of his donors. These are people that do not look like the overwhelming majority of people at his country clubs. These are people that do not look like the overwhelming majority of people who even voted for him.”
