Pelosi on Frederica Wilson: John Kelly ‘Has to Admit What He Did Was Incorrect’

Sunday on MSNBC’s “AM Joy,” while discussing White House chief of staff John Kelly comments about Rep. Frederica Wilson (D-FL) over the disputed phone call President Donald Trump made to Sgt. La David Johnson’s widow, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), said Kelly had “to admit what he did was incorrect in terms of the speech he mischaracterized.”

Pelosi said, “For them to mischaracterize her is really so sad.”

She continued, “Let me just give the general the benefit of the doubt that somebody in the White House is grossly misinforming about who Congresswoman Frederica Wilson is.”

She added, “I think that he has to admit what he did was incorrect in terms of the speech he mischaracterized. He lost his son. My heart goes out to him. He is a patriot. I just think he was either misinformed or accepted something without checking about Frederica that was so wrong, so he has to set the record straight.”
