MSNBC’s Nance: GOP Calling for Restructuring, Firings in FBI Could Fall Under Mueller’s Scrutiny

During Saturday’s “AM Joy” on MSNBC, MSNBC terrorism analyst Malcolm Nance reacted to Republicans calling for changes to be made in the FBI, saying they could fall under FBI special counsel Robert Mueller’s scrutiny for approaching obstruction of justice.

“It’s incredible,” Nance stated. “Because I don’t think they are very aware that what they’re doing is actually taking a step towards obstruction of justice by saying they want to stop this investigation through purging the FBI of senior management, by taking the bureau and re-engineering it so that it’s more acquiescent to the White House itself.”

He continued, “Jim Jordan came forward about a week ago with a very strong statement that the FBI should be eliminated in order to stop, in essence, he was implying, in order to stop investigations into President Trump. That in itself could bring them under scrutiny under this special counsel.”
