MSNBC’s Joy Reid: GOP Tax Cut Benefits ‘Like an Extra Dollop of Gruel for Oliver Twist’

Sunday on MSNBC’s “AM Joy,” host Joy Reid made fun of Speaker Paul Ryan (R-WI) for tweeting about a high school secretary getting a $1.50 per week raise as a result of the Republican tax bill.

Reid said, “$1.50 a week! That’s like an extra dollop of gruel for Oliver Twist! Quick, someone fetch me my monocle and top hat. I think little Oliver and his friends are dancing at the prospect of an extra dollop of gruel.”
