On Thursday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “MTP Daily,” Representative Jerry Nadler (D-NY) argued President Trump is a danger to democracy.
Nadler began by stating that impeaching the president doesn’t define the Democratic Party.
Later, anchor Katy Tur asked Nadler, “Do you think that Donald Trump is a danger to our democracy or our national security?”
Nadler answered, “Yes, I do.”
He added that you can only impeach someone if they’ve done something that is “a danger to the republic, a danger to the separation of powers, a danger to the — to liberty.”
Nadler also argued that obstruction of justice is not necessarily impeachable, and President Clinton shouldn’t have been impeached for obstructing justice.
He also stated, “We may very well get into an impeachment. We may not.”
