Tuesday at the National Press Club in Washington D.C., Gov. Jerry Brown (D-CA) told Fox News Channel’s Washington correspondent Griff Jenkins his network had exploited the immigration issue using crime.
Asking about sanctuary cities laws Griff Jenkins said, “What do you say to the families of victims of criminal illegal aliens?”
Brown replied, “Here’s the problem. I think Fox News exploits this issue. We have criminals who do horrible things all the time. Which ones may be documented and which ones aren’t I would be willing to look at that, but we have a very strong law enforcement community in the state. And I think to scapegoat the immigrants by these very biased stories — Look with all do respect I want to protect people.”
