Comey: Hillary Clinton Is More ‘Respectful’ of ‘Norms and Traditions’

During a town hall on CNN on Wednesday, former FBI Director James Comey stated, “Hillary Clinton is more meshed in, trained in, respectful of the norms and traditions that I’m so worried about being eroded today.

Host Anderson Cooper asked, “You’ve said now that you think the country would be better if Hillary Clinton had been elected president. Why do you think that?”

Comey answered, “I think the question I was asked was — maybe it wasn’t the question, my answer was based on values. I think the American people were faced with a historic choice between the two most unpopular and least trusted candidates in modern history. As between the two, looking backwards in hindsight, and I didn’t vote, as I hope you know, that Hillary Clinton is more meshed in, trained in, respectful of the norms and traditions that I’m so worried about being eroded today. So, on that basis, not a policy judgment, but on that basis, yeah, that’s why I said that.”
