During his remarks at a meeting with evangelical leaders on Monday, President Trump said that “our hearts and prayers” go out to the family of Senator John McCain (R-AZ). The president also stated that “we very much appreciate everything that Senator McCain has done for our country.”
Trump said, “[O]ur hearts and prayers are going to the family of Senator John McCain. Going to be a lot of activity over the next number of days. And we very much appreciate everything that Senator McCain has done for our country. So, thank you very much.”
