Darrell Issa: If Rosenstein Doesn’t Show Up Before Congress, ‘Hold Him in Contempt’

Monday on Fox News Channel’s “Overtime,” House Judiciary and Oversight Committee member Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA) said Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein must be accountable to the Congress for his role in the FBI’s Russia investigation and for reports Rosenstein spoke about invoking the 25th Amendment against President Donald Trump.

Rosenstein was tentatively scheduled to appear Thursday before the House Judiciary Committee, but that appearance was delayed.

When asked if Rosenstein should be subpoenaed, Issa said, “If he doesn’t show up, subpoena him. If he doesn’t show up, hold him in contempt. If he doesn’t show up, demand that the President by definition make him ineligible to serve.”
