The Bexar County Sheriff’s Department Organized Crime Unit executed two search warrants on residences in San Antonio, leading to the arrest of five suspects due to a long-running investigation into human smuggling. Sheriff Javier Salazar told reporters one suspect is believed to be a member of the notorious Venezuelan Tren de Aragua gang.

Universities in western Mexico were forced to close their doors due to the raging cartel violence in Sinaloa, which led to hundreds of murders, hundreds of forced disappearances, arson attacks, and other acts of violence. The schools are forced to offer remote classes despite the many claims made by Mexican government officials that security is improving in the region.

STOLEN VALOR: Louisiana Special Counsel Recommends Removal of District Court Judge

The Louisiana Office of Special Counsel (OSC) recommended to the State Judiciary Commission that a district court judge be removed from office for lying about her military service and engaging in “egregious unethical conduct.” The judge allegedly claimed to have earned the rank of captain in the Army Reserves, but her records show she was passed over twice for the promotion and never earned the rank.

82 Illegal Aliens Prosecuted for Entering Newly Created Military Zone Along New Mexico Border

Illegal border crossers in New Mexico are now facing criminal charges under a section of U.S. law that protects military installations from unauthorized entry. On Thursday, New United States Attorney for the District of New Mexico Ryan Ellison announced the filing of 82 new Title 50 charges for unauthorized entry into the newly designated National Defense Area along New Mexico’s southern border. The announcement followed a high-level visit by Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and U.S. Border Patrol Chief Michael Banks.

MS-13 Gang Members Stab Virginia Correctional Officers in Brutal Attack

Six inmates at the Wallens Ridge State Prison in Big Stone Gap, Virginia, allegedly stabbed three correctional officers in a violent attack on Friday morning. According to the Virginia Department of Corrections, five of the six inmates involved in the attack are confirmed members of the violent MS-13 gang from El Salvador. The MS-13 gang member inmates are in the United States illegally.

Gun-Toting Salvadoran Gang Member Arrested After Maryland Authorities’ Protection Fails

Despite the best efforts of Maryland law enforcement authorities to protect a known criminal alien gang member, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents arrested Brayan Eleazar Angulo-Barrios, 26, in Hyattsville, Maryland. Angulo-Barrios was shielded from arrest by ICE when he was released by the Prince George’s County Department of Corrections. Officials released the criminal alien despite the filing of an immigration detainer by ICE.

DOJ: Texas Steelworker Union President Embezzled $280K

A 42-year-old Corpus Christi resident pleaded guilty to embezzling more than $280,000 from a local steelworkers labor union. Robert Cirilo, former president of the United Steelworkers Local 13-1647 in the Texas Gulf Coast city, pleaded guilty to one count of wire fraud and one count of embezzlement from a labor organization. According to an announcement on Monday by U.S. Attorney Nicholas J. Ganjei, Cirilo will face sentencing in August.
