Jeb Bush Will Have to Run Against His Name

As expected, Jeb Bush has sucked the air out of the 2016 Republican presidential primary race, for now.

With his recent Instagram announcement that his leadership PAC was off and running, Jeb has put the pressure on other prospective and perceived establishment Republican presidential candidates. Those GOP conservative candidates, who are considering a run for president don’t have much to worry about, but the Christie’s and Romney’s of the political world do.

Because of the widespread loyalty and support he enjoys for the simple fact that his family name has incredible name recognition, Jeb will go after the low-lying Republican establishment donors, a move that would freeze out those that would pose an early threat to his candidacy, like New Jersey Governor Chris Christie.

Jeb will get his, but so will the others.

Conservatives like Senator Ted Cruz, Governor Rick Perry, as well as Sen. Rand Paul, and possibly Sen. Marco Rubio, will all be able to raise significant dollars from the growing grassroots base of the GOP, that is if they decide to make the run.

If Rubio runs, it will be interesting to see how much support he receives from Florida’s GOP base. As a recent conservative poll showed that Rubio absolutely clobbers Jeb among conservatives, even as established Republican donors in the state have openly stated that their loyalty lies with Jeb.

Aside from having to deal with his support for Common Core and amnesty for illegal aliens in a contested presidential primary, Bush will have to face an even bigger primary challenge from his own name.

The anti-Bush, blame Bush narrative that the Democrat Party was so effective in pushing out through their communication team (National media outlets like NBC, CBS, and ABC) has left a bad taste in the mouths of millions of Americans, including many voting Republicans.

Because he is a Bush, Jeb will have to run against his own name.
