Democrats have shown an alarming tolerance toward anti-Jewish attitudes recently, with DNC vice chair Donna Brazile’s indulgence towards Bill Maher’s Hagel-inspired antisemitic rant only the latest example.

It is safe to say that if any Republican had sat there while a talk show host spouted bigoted conspiracy theories about Jews, or any other group, his or her career would be seriously damaged, if not entirely finished.

That said, nearly 70% of Jewish voters still back Democrats–a proportion that is slowly eroding, but one that indicates that most American Jewish voters aren’t aware, aren’t alarmed, or don’t care enough, apparently.
