CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Police say a Charlotte man robbed another man at gunpoint while wearing a court-ordered electronic monitoring device stemming from a previous armed robbery charge. According to police,  22-year-old Isiah Xavier Barnes-Johnson used Craigslist to advertise a cell phone for sale. He then set up a meeting with a potential buyer, but when the two met, police say Barnes-Johnson pulled out a gun and robbed the man.

The suspect was arrested Saturday at his home and charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon. Investigators say he was wearing a court-ordered electronic monitoring device when apprehended.

Barnes-Johnson was arrested three times last year on charges of armed robbery, breaking and entering, and larceny. He is being held in the Mecklenburg County Jail.
