Fingerprints linking both Demetruis Glenn and Kenan Adams-Kinard to the brutal murder of 88-year-old WWII veteran Delbert “Shorty” Belton have been found inside and outside of the deceased Belton’s car.
Both teenagers are being tried as adults and have been named publicly. They’re set to be arraigned on September 12th on charges of first-degree murder, along with two charges of first-degree robbery.
Prints from Demetruis Glenn and Kenan Adams-Kinard, both 16, were found in Delbert Belton’s car, according to an affidavit. Adams-Kinard had claimed Mr Belton was a drug dealer who the teenagers had arranged to buy crack from, according to court documents. He and Glenn are accused of beating Mr Belton to death with flashlights in his car outside the Fraternal Order of Eagles Lodge.
