According to authorities, a pregnant Fayette County Detention Center inmate is on the lam, after escaping for the second time in one week. Initially charged on two counts of Receiving Stolen Property, 31-year-old Ashely Marler’s first escape occurred on September 16th, when according to Lexington Police, she failed to return to jail following a court-ordered medical pass. She was picked up two days later in Lexington.

Only one week later, on September 23rd, Marler, who is 4 months with child, made a break for it through the ceiling of the Polk- Dalton Clinic on Elm Tree Lane wearing only a t-shirt and towel. She has not been found since.

Two charges of second degree escape have been added to her resume. Police say she is not considered to be dangerous.
