Immigration officers arrested eight foreign nationals with previous sex offense convictions. The arrests occurred during a two-day targeted enforcement operation.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Enforcement Removal Operations (ERO) officers successfully arrested eight previously convicted sex offenders in the New York City metropolitan area during a two-day operation. ICE officials stressed these arrests are part of ERO’s routine daily operations. Information obtained by Breitbart Texas from ICE revealed.

“ERO officers are out there every day enforcing immigration law with targeted enforcement actions. These actions focus our resources on the most egregious offenders and promote public safety in the communities in which we live and work,” Field Office Director for New York Thomas R. Decker said in a written statement. “Being able to note the accomplishments of our day-to-day enforcement activities, outside of operations, highlights ICE’s constant commitment to make our communities safer.”

The criminal aliens arrested by ERO officers include:

ICE ERO officials will process each of these people for administrative removal. Breitbart Texas reached out to ICE officials to learn if any of these arrested sex offenders had been previously deported and subsequently returned to the U.S. illegally. ICE officials were not immediately available for a response. If any of the people have prior deportation records, or if they have previously had a removal order issued to them by an immigration judge, they will be removed immediately.

ICE officials report that 92 percent of the 240,255 removals carried out during fiscal year 2016 had records of criminal convictions.
