A march near City Hall turned violent after Occupy Wall Street protesters defied police and broke through a makeshift netted barricade. There was pushing and shoving as officers tussled several people to the ground and placed them in handcuffs.
The incident unfolded shortly after 9 0’clock at the intersection of Broadway and Reade Street, just blocks from City Hall.
