Michael Lester’s huge, colorful Christmas decorations have been a holiday staple in Fairfax Station for 15 years.
The massive display on Wayfarer Drive draws thousands every year, and because it’s so elaborate, this was going to be the last year he put up so many decorations.
Vandals struck about 4 a.m. Sunday, crushing plastic decorations, taking a baseball bat to others, deflating inflatables and ripping up Lester’s yard with tire tracks.
