What was a joyful celebration with music provided by The Rude Mechanical Orchestra became the usual cluster-f**k of NYPD oppression. Herded onto sidewalks and pressed by officers from all sides we are given the order to disperse (if any order at all) – and then when there is nowhere to go they begin violently arresting people in what amounts to assault and battery. And the day has just begun.
