Carney On Libya Security: 'Clearly' Biden Was Only Speaking For Himself, President And White House Not Admin

Last night during the debate Vice President Biden was asked about the security forces in Libya and told the moderator, Martha Raddatz, that “we didn’t know” the Benghazi consulate requested more security. This appeared to be a direct contradiction to statements made earlier that day by State Department officials during a Congressional investigative hearing on the matter. Carney clarified Biden’s comments today saying that “clearly” that the Vice President was only talking about himself, the President, and the White House, not the administration as a whole.
