With respect to the national security, last night’s presidential address amounted to an assessment of the State of the Fraud. Mr. Obama said the war in Afghanistan will be over at the end of the year. Surrendering the place is not a completed mission; it’s a potentially disastrous defeat.

The President doubled down on his fraudulent campaign claim that “core al Qaeda is on a path to defeat.” In reality, jihadists sworn to our destruction are more threatening than ever and on the march worldwide.

Mr. Obama says “our diplomacy halted the progress of Iran’s nuclear program.” Not true. Then he claimed that “we’ll keep strengthening our defenses.” That’s not the case, either.

Our union faces real and growing threats. We need the truth and leadership from the President, not serial fraud.
