Back in January 2011, indicted California State Sen. Leland Yee (D-San Francisco) made an appearance on MSNBC’s “The ED Show,” which was part of his protest of conservative talker Rush Limbaugh’s mocking of then-Chinese Leader Hu Jintao that Yee deemed insensitive. At the time, Yee had claimed being the recipient of death threats as a result of speaking out against Limbaugh at the time.

On Wednesday, Yee was arrested on federal corruption charges, which included wire fraud, conspiracy to deal firearms without a license and illegally import firearms.
