House Republicans: Rep. Jackie Walorski (R-IN) delivered the Weekly Republican Address on Saturday, March 29. Walorski discusses bipartisan efforts to bring much-needed accountability to the Department of Veterans Affairs, where a claims backlog has left veterans waiting months at a time to receive their benefits.
“Reducing the VA backlog and holding those within the Department of Veteran Affairs accountable is one of the House’s top priorities,” said Walorski. “Our nation’s veterans and their families have made incredible sacrifices and we must keep the promises we made to them. I appreciate Speaker Boehner giving me the opportunity to speak directly to the American people about the steps we must take to ensure our veterans receive the care and benefits they have earned.”
