Friday on CNN’s “The Lead” with Jake Tapper,” Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) discussed allegations that the Department of Veterans Affairs covered up extended treatment delays for patients who died waiting.

When Tapper asked if Department Secretary Eric K. Shinseki should resign, McCain said, “This is spreading to Colorado, to Texas, California, Atlanta and it’s really terrible and we need to hold people accountable. By the way, if this is what it appears it may be, and I’ve got to give people a chance to make their case, but if it’s what it appears to be, this is not just resignations. This is violations of the law. People should go to jail”…
