Tuesday on CNN’s “The Lead,” host Jake Tapper tried to call out Sen John McCain (R-AZ) for hypocrisy over his criticism of the U.S. Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl swap deal by playing a video clip from February of McCain saying he “would be inclined to support” a prisoner exchange.
Thursday, McCain responded Tapper saying he twice said in the clip depending on “the details” and then referring to the Obama administrations deal of trading five top Taliban commanders for Bergdahl McCain said “the details are outrageous” adding “it’s unacceptable that dangerous Taliban fighters will be back in the fight.”
<br. When Tapper continued to push, McCain shot back.
