On Tuesday’s “The Daily Rundown” on MSNBC, host Chuck Todd asked former Defense Secretary and American Enterprise Institute visiting scholar Paul Wolfowitz whether he was trying to stir up public support for a second war in Iraq.

Wolfowitz responded that Todd was muddying the issue and argued, “We’re not making something up here.” He said that Iraq is a problem the U.S. must concern itself with, and that “no one, myself included, would like it better than to be able to say it’s Iraq and the Iraqi’s problem, leave it to them. Al Qaeda is an American problem as well as an Iraqi problem. Maliki has screwed things up badly. That doesn’t mean we can wash our hands of it.”
