Friday, the United Nations refugee agency released their latest annual report which found for the first time since World War II, more than 50 million people were displaced by conflict and war worldwide.

The increase has mainly been caused by the civil war in Syria which was also the home to many Iraq war refugees. Since the conflict began in 2011 the estimates are over 9 million people have been forced to flee their homes in Syria.
