Thursday in Detroit, Michigan, when Vice President Joe Biden addressed “Netroots Nation,” the annual liberal conference, he heaped praise on the progressive audience, saying: “you, me, the president,” we “share a commitment to the values that made this country exceptional.”
Biden explained what he valued most was the progressive activists’ “deep passion, driven by your concern for others,” but—apparently, hoping not to seem to one-sided—the Vice President added, “though probably some of you are horses asses like some of the people I work with.”
