Monday at Politico’s “Playbook Lunch,” former White House senior adviser David Plouffe told host Mike Allen that Gov. Chris Christie’s (R-NJ) biggest obstacle to winning the Republican nomination for president in 2016 was not the scandal surrounding the lane closures on the George Washington Bridge dubbed “Bridgegate,” but instead the real hurdle Christie needs to address is his “thin skin.”

Plouffe did not offer a specific example, but said, “I think he is very thin skinned.”

He added that he anticipates a “Christie comeback” with the caveat, “You can’t run for president like constantly being agitated about whats said about you.”
