Thursday, interrupting his family vacation in Martha’s Vineyard, MA, President Barack Obama called for everyone to take a “step back” after a fifth night of civil unrest and protests over the shooting death of an unarmed teenager Michael Brown in Ferguson, MO.

One the heels of news that reporters were arrested and camera equipment disassembled, the president warned, “Here in the Untied States of America, police should not be bulling or arresting journalists.” 

The president said he is authorizing Attorney General Eric Holder to launch a federal investigation into the “heartbreaking tragic circumstances” that took the live of Brown.
