Monday at the White House daily press briefing, spokesman Josh Earnest was relentless grilled by ABC News chief White House correspondent Jonathan Karl about President Barack Obama’s claim during his interview with CBS’s “60 Minutes” that the intelligence community underestimated the threat of ISIS.

Karl quoted several officials warnings and read the testimony from November of last year of Brett McGurk, the Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Iraq and Iran warning about the exact treat ISIS has become.

Karl asked a befuddled Earnest repeatedly in light of all on the record warnings from senior members of the intelligence community how the president could continue to blame them.
