PHOENIX—Patriots slot receiver Julian Edelman calls teammate LeGarrette Blount “a crazy thing to see” and a “unique player.”

Edelman, a college quarterback reinvented in the pros as a shifty flanker, certainly knows something about unique players. He boasts passing, receiving, and punt return touchdowns this season.

Expect the Seahawks to attempt to hammer Edelman over the middle and the Patriots to try to establish a power running game with their version of “Beast Mode,” who, as Edelman points out, weighs in considerably heavier than Marshawn Lynch.

“He’s nimble on his feet,” Edelman told reporters of Blount. “He can make people miss. He can run you over. It’s actually a crazy thing to see.”
