On Wednesday, Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao held their joint press conference on ESPN for their matchup coming up on May 2, which will be available on pay per view.

Pacquiao started some of the trash-talking earlier today on ESPN2’s “First Take” by accusing Mayweather of being afraid of losing, and saying that beating Mayweather would be good for the sport of boxing.

In the press conference, Pacquiao trainer Freddie Roach claimed they would defeat Mayweather.

“We’re fighting the best fighter in the world and we’re gonna kick his a–! I’m sorry, but good luck, Floyd.”

When Mayweather came up on stage to speak, he did not do any trash-talking, opting not to take the bait set by Pacquiao and his trainer.

“May 2 — the fight of the century. It’s all about the best fighting the best, and Pacquiao is one of the best fighters of this era. This is a fight the world can’t miss. I’ve never wanted to win a fight so bad in my life.”
