Wednesday at the Republican leadership press conference, when asked about the chairman of the Benghazi panel, Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-SC), saying today that because of the Obama administration’s refusal to produce documents, the committee’s report could be released close to the 2016 presidential election, Speaker of the House John Boehner (R-OH) said the reason for delay lays squarely on Hillary Clinton and the Obama administration hiding the facts.

“They could clean this up a whole lot quicker if the administration and former Secretary Clinton were in a position to actually cooperate with the committee and turn over the kind of information we have been seeking for some time,” he said. “But the administration has made it impossible to get to the facts surrounding Benghazi. So when we get the facts, we will have a report.”
