Ex-Florida State quarterback and projected first overall draft prospect Jameis Winston appeared on Tuesday’s airing of “Draft Academy” on ESPN in a sit-down with Michigan Wolverines coach John Harbaugh to prepare for the 2015 NFL Draft Combine when he was asked to explain about the times he was disciplined in high school and college.

Winston initially forgot to mention when he was cited for shoplifting crab legs from Publix in April of 2014, which was brought up by an assistant coach in the room with Harbaugh and Winston. According to Winston, the crab legs were actually a gift, which is a NCAA violation, but someone in the store never saw him pay for them and told security.

“A week before is my buddy’s birthday and we had got a cake and we met a dude inside Publix. He said, ‘Hey, any time you come in here, I got you.’ So that day, we just walked out. I came in. he gave me crab legs, did the same thing, he gave them to me and I walked out. Someone from inside the store had told security that I didn’t pay for them and that’s how the whole thing started.”
