During Tuesday’s “Pardon the Interruption” on ESPN, co-hosts Tony Kornheiser and Michael Wilbon reacted to the report that the St. Louis Cardinals are being investigated by the FBI for hacking the Houston Astros internal database, which contains sensitive player information.

Both Kornheiser and Wilbon agreed that anybody involved in this scandal should be fired, as well as the Cardinals general manager John Mozeliak and manager Mike Matheny if they had any knowledge of the hacking, with Wilbon calling this “felonious behavior.”

“This is stealing a team’s identity,” he said. “Let me be clear, if this is true, not only the people who did this have to be fired immediately, but if the general manager and the manager of the St. Louis Cardinals are in receipt of information that they know was gotten this way, they maybe have to be fined, suspended and maybe even fired,” declared Kornheiser.

Agreeing with Kornhieser, Wilbon said, “I think there have to be penalties so harsh, that you and I sitting right here, right now, we can’t even consider them yet. Like how far do you go?”
