Pittsburgh Steelers running back DeAngelo Williams took to Twitter earlier this week to denounce participation trophies and the entitlement that comes with them, according to a “Fox & Friends” report.
Williams said his daughter was given a participation ribbon after finishing an event, but he gave it back to the teacher. Then, his daughter went on to earn an actual trophy by placing first place in the next event.
