NBC News chief foreign correspondent Richard Engel reported on the Syria ceasefire agreement Saturday on MSNBC.

According to Engel, there is “not very much hope” this ceasefire will last the full seven days.

He said, “If that seven-day ceasefire can last, it would trigger a series of other events, namely Russia and Washington coordinating more closely in the fight against ISIS, also more discussions about the political transition in Syria. But, previous ceasefires have not lasted very long so there’s not very much hope this one can last the required full seven days.”
